What Clients Are Saying…

WOW!!! I love my new bedroom!! I can't say enough about the transformation from an unorganized "yard sale" bedroom to an inviting, peaceful place that makes me happy. Lori is amazingly talented with great listening skills. She valued the importance of my heirloom pieces, bringing them up to a modern look. My mother's hope chest and bureau have an updated funky look that matches my personality and the color scheme of the room. She used the already existing artwork from throughout my home to strategically place these pieces together for a coherent visual flow. Lori created more symmetry, light, and unity, right down to every little unique detail. My bedroom is original and me, at a very reasonable price. I highly recommend Gloom to Bloom!!

Need someone to hold your hand and help you make decisions about what/how you want to change/redecorate a room? This is the person to contact. Lori will listen to what your tastes are and somehow work her magic and will decorate it so that it will make your heart sing. Thought decorators were for fancy shmancy people and budgets. Nope!! Do not hesitate...you Will love her. She has done 2 rooms for me. I will have her back for room number 3. Rating 1 - 5..... definitely a 6 !!

I recently obtained several estimates on painting the interior of my new house. They varied although it wasn't the cost that was concerning, it was that I didn't have confidence in any of the companies until I met Lori. As soon as I talked to her I knew that she'd be the right fit for me. Her quote was reasonable, especially for the fact that she helped me pick out colors and furniture. Lori did a great job and was very neat while working. I'm very happy with the quality of work and I would highly recommend her!

FAQs

How do you go about finding materials/furnishings for your jobs?

Materials are sourced in a number of different ways depending on scope of project and your budget. For the most part, I source in person at various retailers and antique shops for the perfect, customized fit. If I’m looking for a broad range of options from which to choose (ie, area rugs), online sourcing can be the best option.

What is the scope of your outdoor “makeovers”?

I love to transform outdoor spaces. This, quite literally, embodies my philosophy of “Gloom to Bloom”. These projects often entail a total refresh of your patio or deck. It can encompass paint, new outdoor furniture for lounging or dining, outdoor area rugs, new plantings or perhaps the perfect vintage potting station repurposed into an outdoor bar or serving station! The possibilities are endless.

How would you describe your decorating “imprint”?

My true passion lies in creating spaces that help my clients to decompress. Often, this can start with decluttering and making way for visual serenity through new paint and furniture, soft surroundings, texture, pops of favorite colors and meaningful treasures to round out your space.

What is the average cost of a full room makeover?

Decorating can be expensive but it doesn’t have to break the bank. We work with all budgets that can range from $1,000 to $20,000+. We have access to hundreds of brands and often remix what you already have in your home. With close collaboration, we can create your dream room while honoring your budget.

Do you work with subcontractors?

What I love about this work IS the hands-on labor! I have over 30 years of experience painting, wallpapering, tiling backsplashes, and creating spaces unique to YOU. That said, we will happily team up with your favorite tradespeople should the job require it.

Do you work with real estate agents?

Yes! Agents seek me out when they need to have rooms painted before a property goes on the market. Sometimes, it’s as simple as giving the front door a fresh coat of paint and planting colorful flowers in the front yard to delight prospective buyers with a memorable first impression.

Delightfully Affordable

So many homes start with good bones (particularly older houses) and just require an eye for both appreciation and potential. I have consistently found that houses respond so well to a loving touch. Clients are delighted that they didn’t opt to buy new kitchen cabinets but chose instead to “honor” the craftsmanship of what they had by simply trusting me to bring them back to life. The simplest of changes can make a huge impact and can be delightfully affordable.

Step 1: Dream it.

Step 2: Build it.

Step 3: Love it.

All projects begin with an initial decorating consult ($125.00/hour).

It’s never too late to bloom.

And so she did.
