BEFORE: A bit gloomy yet this room has all of the potential to go from Gloom to Bloom with just a few key changes.
BLOOM: Natural, contemporary wall decor as well as new throw pillows, a cozy blanket and new bedside lamps enliven this corner of the bedroom.
AFTER. A new reading nook was created in the corner and ethereal curtain panels soften these ample windows without dimming the natural sunlight. The classic scalloped window shades are made for that task.
AFTER: An old dresser found new life here with just a coat of paint and new bin pulls. It now features an old sewing box of drawers repurposed into a jewelry box (top of dresser). The best part is that this is an heirloom passed down from Mom and now such a treasured part of this space.
BEFORE: This is a modest bedroom that was in dire need of mini-makeover. The client did not want the mess of removing the wallpaper yet it was terribly tired and dated.
AFTER. Gloom to Bloom repaired the frayed wallpaper, patched the tears and skimcoated where necessary. After a good coat of primer the walls were painted in Benjamin Moore “Organdy” and beadboard wallpaper was applied to the bottom of the walls. Next, a champagne colored border was wrapped around the room and then trimmed out in wood moulding. It dramatically freshened this master bedroom and provides an inviting respite for this happy client.
